If a loss or damage has occurred, it is essential you notify Expat Insurance as soon as possible after the event. Delays in the notification of a claim can complicate the process. To begin the claims process, please click “Report a Claim” and submit your details. Expat Insurance will contact you within 24 hours to provide a claim form and further advice and instruction.
As the insured, you have a duty to take all necessary measures to prevent further loss or damage. In the case of theft, burglary or lost property, you are required to file a police report within 24 hours of the incident or discovery of loss. Photos of the incident or damage can assist by providing extra detail and documentation. Never dispose or repair damaged items or property, as it may be required for confirmation of loss.
Should your claim involve a third party, you should not admit responsibility, offer payment or settlement unless previously approved by the insurer in writing. All correspondence from the third party should be forwarded to Expat Insurance or directly to the insurer.
