  • Total Cybersecurity Incidents: 15,877 cases, a 27% increase year-on-year, marking a record high for the city.  These are the reported ones!
  • Technology Crimes: In the first seven months of 2025 alone, the Hong Kong Police recorded 19,080 cases.  These are the reported ones!
  • Data Breaches: The Privacy Commissioner’s office was notified of 246 data breach incidents, a 21% increase from 2024. Roughly one-third of these involved direct hacking.
